Jaun is the smallest village in the canton of Fribourg, yet still offers a ski resort with numerous winter activities, suitable for people of all ages.
This ski resort will delight beginners and experienced skiers alike. The total length of the slopes is 25 km, and five ski lifts will bring you to the top of them. In the middle of the slopes of Shattenhalb, there’s a snow park with live music for thrill-seekers.
In Jaun, you can also enjoy numerous snowshoe hikes, cross-country skiing trails, and skiing every Wednesday evening on the lit-up slopes.
As of the beginning of winter, Jaun is a lively ski resort, where you can enjoy the Christmas market and sample local and traditional foods.
If you visit Jaun in autumn or winter, do not miss the natural phenomenon known as the “Grossmutterloch” — depending on the time of day, the sun shines through a hole in the rock created by erosion. Use the Magic Pass to explore Jaun.
